New Glasses Day!!

I'm all excited because I will be getting new glasses today. Yes, it doesn't take much anymore. I was finally able to go for an eye exam last week. I've been meaning to go for one since Summer but I kept putting it off. But It's been getting a bit frustrating driving at night so I decided now that I've got health insurance (something else I had putting off as well), I can go get the ole eyeballs a once over.

Turns out that my vision has dimmed only slightly. But it does mean I needed a new perscription and a new pair of glasses :-)

I'm one of those people who actually likes to wear glasses. I do not understand people's hatred towards glasses. I remember shaking my head watching this commercial that basically made people who wear glasses instead of contacts look like some sort of a leper.

But I digress.

I've also been working like mad penciling and inking this week. I've also found that I have arrived to my last bottle of ink. I had thought I was better stocked than that with Winsor Newton. But alas. So, I stopped by Michaels at the Blackstone Shopping Plaza on my way to work in hopes to pick up some more ink. But they were fresh out of Winsor Newton and only had Higgins and Speedball.

I detest Higgins ink. It's good if you're starting out in pen and ink work because it's affordable. But it's downside is it grays out too quickly. So it is useless if you're looking to archive your work.

So, I'm going to try the Michaels up near White City this afternoon before I head off to the Art Museum. If I fail there, then it's off to C.C. Lowells.

I may stop at C.C. Lowell's anyhoo just to make sure I have plenty of ink.

(Another) New project in the works!!

On top of Polly and Handgraves, Representation and the graphic novel I’m working on with Josh I have just started work on a fourth project.

What’s it about? Well... I’m not telling!! Sorry! No clues and no sneak peeks. It’s a surprise!! You’ll find out when it hits the printers!!

But for now, my lips are tightly fastened!!
