I've decided to go with the first part of class being a Character Design lesson and hte second half of class being dedicated to comic art. I'm going to have the students use Captain Marvel (the REAL Big Red Cheese Captain Marvel and not the Marvel Comics Captain Marvel) as the subject matter for both the story and the artwork.
As I stated in a previous blog, hopefully this will give them some work to add to their portfolio for college or even if it's getting a job in comic books or animation.
Of course I also plan on plugging some of the great comic book and cartooning classes the Worcester Art Museum has to offer.
